I started out making mixed media art which exposed me to
many new and different materials. Jewelry making soon
became an unexpected passion as I looked for new ways to
incorporate my work into wearable art.
I began creating charms from precious family photos and
before I knew it friends were asking me to make charms for
them. Word of mouth spread the news and Todays Vintage by
Mary Ellen was born.
I have been lucky enough to share in major events in peoples
lives through my work. There seems to be no limit to the ways
people have chosen to include charms because they are so
unique and personal. Just when I think we've exhausted the
possibilities someone comes up with a new idea!
